I have practiced psychiatry in various ways over the years including medication management, psychotherapy, substance abuse treatment including Suboxone and Vivitrol use, Consult-Liaison hospital work as well as inpatient adult, child, and adolescent treatment. I was most fascinated by the change I saw in patients with long-term psychodynamic psychotherapy and am returning to this model in private practice. This type of medical treatment, which combines both psychotherapy and medication evaluation leads to much better patient outcomes in my experience.

Education/Professional History:
I graduated from the honors program at the University of Maryland in Neurobiology and Physiology. I received my MD from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed my psychiatry training there. During my final year of training, I was honored to serve as a Chief Resident and was awarded with the Medical Student Teaching Award, the Resident of the Year in Psychiatry Award, as well as the Holly Fickel Memorial Award. I am currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Department of Psychiatry, Medical College of Wisconsin.
